Nyoshul Tulku Jamyang Dzhopa
Recognized and enthroned in 2004 at the age of two as the tulku of Nyoshul Khenpo Jamyang Dorje at Kham Kathok Monastery in Tibet, Yangsi Rinpoche completed nine years of shedra studies at the Sakya Institute of Vajrayana in 2023. He has also received extensive instruction from his teacher in Rewalsar and participated as a visiting scholar in the Antioch/Carleton College Buddhist Studies in India program. He is currently a Master’s student in Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where his research applies a philosophical and textual-historical approach to Tibetan Buddhist theories of the Three Vows, particularly the ways in which Tibetan scholastics developed frameworks to reconcile monastic, bodhisattva, and tantric commitments."
