Zihao Wang

My academic interests are mainly in modern Vietnam and China. I am especially interested in history of the Vietnam War and history of the PRC, specifically social history and historical sociology. My previous researches surveyed the relationships between late imperial China and Vietnam, as well as the political institution of imperial Vietnam with a Vietnam-centric approach. During my graduate study, I hope to explore more fields such as economic history and social history, and gain more insights into more disciplinary methodologies.

I like Chinese literature and music. When free I often play volleyball and go hiking as it’s always a comfort for me to approach the nature, bathing in the sunshine and feeling the breeze. I am also crazy about travel which is a precious opportunity to meet diverse people and enjoy all kinds of food. For me travel is another kind of reading- it always shows something new and people’s different opinions on the world. Happy to meet you all! :)
